Nature of Our Services

Special Kids Academy provides private 1-to-1 swimming sessions adapted to each swimmer's abilities, individual needs, skill level, and learning pace.

Our services are educational and sports-based. They are not medical or therapeutic services and do not replace professional medical assessment, treatment, or specialist care when needed.

Training Location

Sessions take place in a swimming pool provided by the client, such as a private home pool or a residential community pool, subject to service coverage and appointment availability.

The client is responsible for ensuring that swimming instruction is permitted at the pool and for obtaining any required approvals from the building, community, or facility management before the scheduled session.

First Session & Initial Assessment

The first session and initial assessment cost AED 99 and last 45 minutes.

If the client purchases a package, the full AED 99 assessment fee is credited toward the package price. The first session also counts as session number 1 of that package.

Swimming Packages

Package validity begins on the date of the first session.

Bookings & Appointments

All sessions must be booked in advance. Appointment availability depends on scheduling, the client's location, and access to the training facility.

An appointment is considered confirmed once it has been agreed upon through the communication channel used with Special Kids Academy.

Rescheduling & Cancellation

• If a session is cancelled or a rescheduling request is made at least 12 hours in advance, the session may be rescheduled without being deducted from the package.
• If a session is cancelled less than 12 hours before the scheduled time, it will be counted as a used package session.
• If the swimmer does not attend without prior notice, the session will be counted as a used package session.
• In genuine emergencies, the Academy may allow one late-cancelled session per package to be rescheduled, at its discretion and depending on the circumstances.

Late Arrival

If the client or swimmer arrives late, the session will, where reasonably possible, end at its originally scheduled time to avoid affecting subsequent appointments.

If the instructor arrives late, the full session duration will be provided, or arrangements will be made with the client to complete the remaining time.

Safety & Unsuitable Conditions

The instructor may postpone or stop a session if pool conditions, weather, the surrounding environment, or any other circumstances could affect the safety of the swimmer or instructor.

If Special Kids Academy cancels a session for safety reasons, a replacement session will be arranged and the session will not be deducted from the package.

Swimmer Information

Parents, guardians, or clients must inform Special Kids Academy of information directly relevant to the swimmer's safety or ability to participate in training.

Any significant changes that may affect the swimmer's safety or suitability for a session must be communicated before training begins.

Package Refunds

If a client decides to discontinue a package before completing it, the remaining balance may be refunded after recalculating all used sessions at the standard single-session rate of AED 250 per session.

Sessions counted as used due to late cancellation or non-attendance are included when calculating the remaining balance.

If Special Kids Academy is unable to complete a package, unused sessions will be refunded based on the per-session rate of the purchased package.

Package Validity

All sessions must be used within the stated package validity period.

In exceptional circumstances, an extension may be considered by prior arrangement with Special Kids Academy. Extensions are not automatically included as a package entitlement.

Updates to These Terms

These terms may be updated when necessary to reflect changes to our services or operational policies.

The terms in effect at the time of booking or package purchase will apply, unless otherwise agreed with the client.
